came from for those pieces of art? Believe it or not, that paint came
from the Larimer County Hazardous Waste Department! Did you know that we
recycle hazardous materials such as paint, stains, weed killers and
other hazardous materials that can not go into the landfill back out
into the community for free? Want to be a part of this? Larimer County's
Solid Waste Department is looking for a Hazardous Waste Assistant Temp
to join our team! The Hazardous Waste Assistant Temp performs assistance
to the Larimer County Household Hazardous Waste program and Larimer
County Government inter-departmental hazardous waste disposal. Interacts
respectively with regard to household and County interdepartmental
hazardous waste disposal issues, assists in processing and packaging
waste for shipment, and maintains the Larimer County Household Hazardous
Waste Collection facility. Essential Functions: Provides customers
service at the Household Hazardous Waste collection facility. Assists in
the screening and acceptance of household hazardous waste from program
participants. Assists with inventory and storage of hazardous waste.
Keeps the collection facility clean and maintains an appropriate level
of hygiene. Assists in the consolidation of household hazardous waste
through the use of lab-packing and loose-packing methods. Uses hand
tools with moderate amount of force (open lids). Non-essential Functions
When a local declaration of emergency or disaster is declared by the
Board of Commissioners, all Larimer County employees may be required to
work as a Disaster Service Worker. Performs other duties as appropriate

Qualifications: One (1) year of experience in a directly related field
or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities is
preferred. High school diploma or GED required. OSHA 24-hour Hazardous
Waste Operations Certification preferred. Possession of, or ability to
obtain, a valid Driver's License. An offer of employment is contingent
upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. As
marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive
for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which
the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment
being revoked. A successful completion of the drug screen is defined as
