Job Description
Position Summary
Performs a variety of responsible clerical, record-keeping, and customer service functions in support of civil court operations. Work includes processing and docketing legal documents, maintaining official case records, preparing certifications, conducting judgment and lien searches, and coordinating the transfer of case files between courts. Responsibilities also involve assisting court users, attorneys, and judicial staff by providing accurate information and ensuring compliance with applicable rules, procedures, and deadlines. Work is performed in accordance with established court policies and requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work is performed in a courthouse office and public-facing counter environment. The position requires frequent direct interaction with the public, attorneys, and court personnel, often in a high-volume, fast-paced setting with multiple interruptions.
The employee will be stationed at a public service counter for extended periods and may experience moderate noise levels, including conversations and routine office activity. The role requires the ability to remain professional, courteous, and composed while assisting a diverse range of individuals, including those who may be frustrated or under time constraints.
