    Bookkeeping Clerk-Clerk & Master Salary $47,580.00 Annually Location Nashville, TN Job Type Full-Time Non Civil Service Department Clerk and Master Job Number CM03879 Closing 1/15/2019 11:59 PM Central Position Description This non-civil service position with the Chancery Court Clerk & Master's Office maintains and accounts for funds deposited with or disbursed by the Clerk & Master and reports accountings accurately pursuant to state and municipal law. Must be able to lift ledgers, docket books and large case files up to twenty (20) pounds. Typical Duties Receipt and disburse costs, judgments and delinquent taxes Post, balance, and maintain case receipt and disbursement ledger, general ledger and subsidiary ledgers Prepare daily bank deposit Coordinate real property redemption matters Prepare financial reports Assist attorneys and the public with inquiries regarding funds held by the Court Perform administrative/clerical duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional level experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, including the practices and terminology used in fiscal record keeping. Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encourage to apply. Per Metro Ordinance No. SO094-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the state of Tennessee or become residents of the state of Tennessee within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
