    Maximus is currently hiring for a Operations Project Manager to support our Florida Healthy Kids team. This is a hybrid position that requires you to work both onsite at our Tallahassee, FL office as well as remotely. The Operations Project Manager serves as the day-to-day client contact for the Florida Healthy Kids contract. The individual will help manage communication, issue resolution, and operational alignment. This role is critical to maintaining client satisfaction, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and providing consistent coordination between internal functional areas (Operations, IT, Finance, Quality, and Training). The ideal candidate will be well-versed in how Florida government agencies operate and able to navigate the nuances of a state-managed program environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Assist the Project Director with the day-to-day running of the core functional areas to ensure compliance with the prime contract, all subsequent amendments, program business rules, as well as, state and federal regulations.

    - Assist the Project Director in his/her efforts to facilitate a functional, motivated, and cohesive project team.

    - Establish and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with the client and other key stakeholders.

    - Facilitate communication and resolution on all pertinent contract matters, operational changes, and applicable corrective and preventive actions.

    - Work with the Project Director to develop performance goals and objectives for the project and staff, and monitor the achievement of those goals.

    - Assist in creation and implementation of innovative methodologies to continually streamline and improve project operations and outcomes.

    - Ensure project stays within budget, meets its financial performance goals, and meets all agreed upon timelines and work plans.

    - Serve as the primary liaison between Maximus and FHKC, coordinating day-to-day contract and operational activities.

    - Ensure all contract deliverables, production calendar items, and performance standards are completed accurately and on time.

    - Facilitate communication and resolution of operational or technical issues, including documentation, follow-up, and reporting.

    - Prepare and present client-facing updates summarizing performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

    - Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure contract compliance, responsiveness, and quality outcomes.

    - Act as the on-the-ground resource in Tallahassee to support implementation updates, system changes, and client inquiries.

    - Gather feedback from FHKC and ensure it’s integrated into solution design and process improvements.

    - Work autonomously while maintaining accountability for deadlines, deliverables, and quality standards.

    - Produce advanced written and verbal communication , including reports, briefs, presentations, and stakeholder updates that are clear, concise, and tailored to appropriate audiences.

    - Utilize knowledge of project management principles and methodologies to support planning, coordination, tracking milestones, and ensuring successful delivery of project components.

    - Demonstrate a self-starter mindset , taking ownership of tasks, identifying needs before they arise, and driving initiatives forward with minimal oversight

    Minimum Requirements

    - Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    - Must be willing and able to be onsite in our Tallahassee, FL office 2-3 days per week.

    - Must currently live within a commutable distance to our Tallahassee, FL site, or be willing to relocate before beginning this position.

    - Must possess a strong understanding of the Florida public health sector-including organizational structures, workflows, and agency operations-while maintaining awareness of Florida legislative processes and how policy changes may impact project objectives and client needs.

    Home Office Requirements:

    - Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net).

    - Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router.

    - Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US.

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
