    Currently, we seek a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II at our Grand Rapids location who will provide process/equipment/machine/facility/utility/maintenance and technical support for the overall reliability of process and machine systems.  As a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II, you will:

     

    • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on process and machine equipment systems, devices, controls, facilities, and utilities.
    • Prepare GMP-compliant documentation, operating procedures, and maintenance procedures.
    • Provide expertise and guidance for process, machine, equipment modifications, repairs, upgrades, and start-up of assigned new process/machine/equipment systems.
    • Cross-train on in-house calibrations, including associated documentation and/or outside calibration vendor coordination.
    • Prepares and sets up controls, devices, and machinery in support of process or equipment needs.
    • Propose and implement changes to improve process, machine, or equipment efficiency.
    • Identify need for, and requisitions materials and services for facility requirements.
    • Handles off-hours call-ins and on-call support on a periodic basis.

     

    We believe a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II will be set up for success if they are an independent self-motivator and have strong troubleshooting and technical skills.  We also see them as an excellent communicator who possess the following:

     

    • High school diploma or GED – required
    • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of equipment repair experience – required
    • GMP experience – required
    • Mechanical troubleshooting of compounding, converting, or related experience – required
    • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills – required
    • Knowledge of VFD systems – required
    • Analytical and problem resolution ability – required
    • Strong team player with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills – required
    • Craft skill certification – preferred
