    JOB DESCRIPTION:

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    Performs work that involves supporting Counter sUAS research and development.  May work with conventional types of algorithms, investigations and equipment with very complex features.  Duties may include equipment or process design and development, testing, preparation of specifications, paper study, primary and secondary fact finding, research investigations, user training and report preparation.  Ability to support research and development activities including software defined radio (SDR), RF communication, configuration management, signal processing development and experimentation.

    • Exercises judgement in evaluation or originality in performing technical solution development.
    • Work is performed using standard practices and methods, but where unusual or difficult problems exist, employee selects techniques and procedures to be applied. Technical decisions have impact on technical solution and successful contract execution.
    • Strong communication skills (interpersonal and written).
    • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, with ability and desire to stay abreast of current technologies.

    Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software development, configuration management, signal processing, small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and RF communications technology
