Share this Job Ready to put your newly learned electrical skills to work on complex projects? Would you enjoy working on a wide variety of electrical projects? Would you enjoy being a road warrior and travel? Williams Electric Company, a Parsons Company, is now hiring an Electrician Apprentice. Duties Load / unload equipment and material Pull wire and install electrical devices Learn how to bend conduit and install it Get material to help the electrician complete tasks Clean up at the end of the day. Projects are in multiple site including sites in Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois Multiple other locations as needed. Travel is required Assist with Quality control & coordination responsibilities with other trades Assist with daily reports, safety meetings, man-hour reports, quality reports, etc. Minor digging trenches for running underground electrical pipe (conduit) Qualifications Organized, motivated team player with a desire to learn the electrician trade. Strong mathematical abilities and the ability to remember words, numbers and other information. Must be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from electrical drawings and job specifications. Ability to learn the latest NEC, NFPA 70E and EM-385 codes. Must be able to pass a NACI background investigation Ability to learn skills using Microsoft Office Suite Must possess good written and verbal communication skills Must possess drivers license with a clean driving record to permit driving of company vehicles Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment. Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach overhead. Work is regularly performed in outdoor weather conditions or other elements where temperatures can exceed extreme conditions. Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Individually registered in a bona fide apprenticeship program registered with a state apprenticeship agency that is recognized by DOL, or, if no such recognized agency exists in a state, under a program registered with the Office of Apprenticeship, Employment & Training Administration (ETA), DOL.
