    YOUR ROLE AT PFH:

    As an integral part of a team of grantsmanship professionals, you will be responsible for:

    • Writing competitive grant/service contract proposals that are accessible, logical, and compelling by utilizing effective writing techniques designed to engage a wide audience of reviewers who possess diverse perspectives and sensibilities.

    • Facilitating effective and efficient program development processes with internal leadership teams/middle management staff that is responsive the needs of governmental/community-based funding sources as outlined by published RFPs.

    • Identifying prospective funding source grant/service contract opportunities that align with PFH's service priorities.

    • Performing essential grantsmanship tasks such as: 1) developing effective tracking/record-keeping procedures and protocols for all proposal submissions, including a multi-year comparative system that shows historical grant success rates; 2) establishing and maintaining relationships with outside program evaluators; and 3) participating in long-range, grant-specific strategic planning activities with members of PFH's grantsmanship team.

    WE THINK YOU'D BE GREAT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:

    Excellent persuasive writing skills and the ability to synthesize scholarship-driven content, conclusions, and data into compelling grant proposals, with:

    • Proposal writing experience and a proven track record of winning federal, state, and local governmental grants.

    • The ability to facilitate program development planning with organizational leadership teams and direct service staff members.

    • A clear understanding of organizational grantsmanship and the role it plays in both organizational growth and community health.

    • The ability to creatively and logically frame a funding argument within the context of specific RFP narrative requirements.

    • The ability to incorporate PFH-wide budget priorities/requirements along with the service implementation needs of direct program staff into each proposal that you write.

    • A Bachelor's or a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in liberal arts, communications, health/human services, business, journalism, psychology, or closely related field of study.

    Grant writing is all about persuasion. In your cover letter, convince us that you're the right candidate for this position. At some point in the recruiting process, you will be asked to send us at least two examples of your work.
