    Your role at PFH :

    As the Outreach and Engagement Specialist you will be responsible for outreach efforts and engagement of clients with opioid use disorders that are primarily receiving medication assisted treatment services (MAT) at one of PFH's several outpatient treatment sites in the St. Louis area.

    You will:

    • Facilitates regular and ongoing outreach to this caseload via telephone, virtual and/or face to face contact with clients.
    • Meet with clients in the community, as needed, to provide necessary resources or services (such as narcan) with the purpose of reducing barriers to access and increasing engagement in services.
    • Facilitates a minimum of two morning and two afternoon/evening group sessions focused on education and support of individuals receiving medication assisted treatment.
    • Ensures accurate and complete documentation of outreach and engagement efforts, as well as individual and group sessions in clients' electronic health records following DMH/CARF/CSTAR standards.

    We think you'd be great for this role if you have:

    • Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) AND Community Support Specialist through the State of Missouri.
    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a human services related field (social work, psychology, nursing, education, etc) OR
    • An individual with any four year degree and two years qualifying experience, OR
    • An Individual with any four year combination of higher education and experience, OR
    • An individual with a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of qualifying experience.
    • Certification as a Peer Specialist by the state of Missouri, or meeting minimum requirements necessary to obtain certification as peer specialist within 6months of hire.
      • Be at least 21 years of age.
      • Self identify as a present or former client of mental health or substance use services OR self identifies as a person in recovery from mental health or substance use disorder
      • Complete a training program and if required, pass a standardized examination.
