    Your role at PFH: 

    As a PPWS AND RPG Children's Coordinator, you are responsible for developing a trusting, non-judgmental relationship with clients, their children and families served within the grants. They will work in collaboration with the PPWS and RPG Women's Coordinator and the Family Advocates assigned to the grants. This includes providing direct outreach to clients, families, children based on their service plan and delivery of individualized services across all settings, documentation of client and team related activities and services, and advocacy services to high-risk families. Will provide specific services in support of the client, family and children include home based parenting supports following the completion of the Nurturing Program for Families in Substance Use Treatment and Recovery parenting curriculum, to insure that families are equipped to parent their children in support of Safety, Well-being, and Permanency. Services will be provided at PFH, in the family home, school, and in other community based settings as appropriate. The Children's Coordinator will model a strengths-based, family wraparound approach with the clients served. . You will:

    • Represent PFH Treatment Services and clients served  in a positive manner to staff, community agencies, and community members
    • Treat all persons served and their families with dignity and respect
    • Advocate for the women, children and families we serve
    • Actively collaboration and plan with the PPWS and RPG women's coordinator
    • Provide home based parenting supports following the completion of the Nurturing Program for Families in Substance Use Treatment and Recovery parenting curriculum, to insure that families are equipped to parent their children in support of Safety, Well-being, and Permanency

     

    We think you'd be great for this role if you have: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and/or Qualified Substance Abuse Counselor or Assistant Counselor (as defined by ASAM), and three years demonstrated leadership ability, supervisory and system management experience.  
    • Master degree in Social Work or related field preferred.  Three years of professional experience in area of substance abuse and child development.  Comprehensive understanding of :clinical theories, modalities and treatment methodology; AUD , SUD and Co-occurring disorders, Addition and Co-dependence; and knowledge of issues in recovery. Comprehensive understanding of ethics in the provision of services.  Ability to work on a self-directed team with minimal direction.  Possess a working knowledge of Women's ASAM standards.
