Your role at PFH :
As a Prevention Specialist (SPF-PFS), you are responsible for the delivery of evidence-based prevention programs, practices and policies to individuals, organize and implement activities as indicated in approved work plans, assist with tracking outcomes, plus submit timely reports and forms as specified. You will:
Provide virtual or in-person delivery of evidence-based prevention curriculum to juveniles in the service area.
Ensure curriculum is delivered consistently with the fidelity of the program.
Lessons planning and preparation, including gathering necessary teaching tools to enhance the delivery of the curriculum.
Document all the services provided in accordance with the contract and submit monthly reports to the PFS Grant Manager.
Provide training and technical assistance to administrators, educators, other faculty, students, family members, and community members.
Consult with educators and counselors on curriculum implementation.
Attend all training required by the agency, and funders.
We think you'd be great for this role if you have:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration, or closely related field; OR
Graduate Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration, or closely related field, who has at least one (1) year of professional experience in a social service agency; AND
At least two (2) years of experience providing alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention programming for youth.
At least one (1) year experience, which may be included in the above two (2) years, experience as a site coordinator or other position with primary responsibility for day-to-day prevention program implementation.
