    YOUR ROLE:  As the SUD Grant Therapist you are responsible for creating a trusting, non-judgmental relationship with participants referred to and enrolled in their assigned Grant. You will be responsible for implementing therapy complementary to the system of care process and consistent with the individualized treatment plan. This includes individual, child or family advocacy facilitation, assisting in the development of individualized treatment plans, and coordination of individualized supports across all settings. This position reports directly to the Project Director.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Service Responsibilities

    ● Represent PFH Treatment Services and individuals and families served in a positive manner to clients, staff, community agencies, and community members.

    ● Treat all persons served and their families with dignity and respect.

    ● Facilitate educational groups or structured group activities for persons served, as assigned.

    ● Utilize a multidisciplinary approach and work within the context of the family's life. May see a client individually, in a group with others, with caregivers or other family members.

    ● Facilitate group therapy sessions for persons served as assigned.

    ● Meet with individual persons served to provide child, individual, couples, and/or family therapy supporting completion of Treatment Plan goals.

    ● Provide safety and crisis intervention to persons served as needed utilizing Suicide Risk Assessment, Safety Plan, and No Harm Contract forms. Arrange and/or provide emergency transportation to hospitals for 96-hour holds or admission to other emergency shelters as required by client need.

    ● Coordinate/Collaborate with referral sources/stakeholders/community supportive team members to ensure a wrap-around approach to service delivery is being utilized.

    ● Serve as the Therapist On-Call as assigned.

    ● Meet individually with assigned clients with special needs to assist in the completion of homework exercises supporting treatment participation or individualized goals included within the Treatment Plan.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    ● Follow through on recommendations of Supervisor as outlined on Professional Development Plans including but not limited to attending required training, completing higher credential requirements, and completing self-evaluations.

    ● Meet with Supervisor for supervision at all scheduled appointments.

    ● Complete Client Chart Reviews as assigned.

    ● Complete Incident Reports and submit the assigned Grant Supervisor, who will submit to the Project Director for review.

    ● Adhere to all HIPAA and 42 CFR requirements.

    ● Other duties as assigned.

    ● Participate in community awareness events supporting persons served or partner agencies.

    ● Provide training to other clinical staff as requested by supervisor.

    ● Responsible for all property issued including keys and other PFH equipment and/or supplies utilized during job functioning.

    WE THINK YOU'D BE GREAT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE: 

    ● Have a Master's Degree in Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or other related field and previous experience in SUD settings.

    ● Have an understanding of clinical theories, modalities in treatment methodology, child abuse and neglect, child development, alcoholism, addiction and co-dependency, knowledge of men's and women's issues in recovery, and sound ethics in therapy is required.

    ● Have a combination of life experiences, skills, and education which would build the skills necessary to treat persons served is preferred.

    ● Spanish speaking is preferred.
