Behavioral Healthcare Technician- Full Time/Part Time

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) are mental health employees who provide hands-on care to individuals with varying degrees of mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities. BHT's perform a vital, front-line function in all healthcare settings as they observe, treat and interact with patients.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you are responsible for direct and supportive care to clients/patients. You will:

• Help identify client's strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
• Assist with therapeutic interventions.
• Adhere to all medication policies and work with trained nursing staff to ensure all medication policies are followed whether client/patient administered or PFH associate administered
• Assist in admission/orientation process including obtaining vital signs if applicable, safety search of client/patient and belongings and collecting any urine/lab specimens for testing.
• Assist and educate clients/patients in performing daily activities as needed
• Provide client/patient transportation as needed.

We think you'd be great for this role if you have:

• High School education or equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment history

  • Exceptions to the qualifications listed may be made by the appropriate Executive Team member.

• A reliable vehicle to transport clients
