    Your role at PFH :

    As a Phlebotomy Technician , you are responsible for the day-to-day processing of specimens (body fluids, blood, urine, etc.) submitted to the CLIA Waived Lab or to the reference laboratory for testing. The Phlebotomy Technician will take part in the quality control program that includes the maintenance and accuracy of all laboratory records, requisitions, reports, equipment maintenance and calibrations. From time to time, the Phlebotomy Technician will
    be required to perform other tasks and projects. The Phlebotomy Technician reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor. You will:

    • Provide timely chemical analysis of specimens - body fluids, blood, urine, etc

    • Partake in quality control program for all types of testing being performed

    • Help resolve any technical problems

    • Maintain open communication with VP Health Services to ensure that appropriate remedial action is taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's performance specifications

    • Assure that patient test results are reported only after all corrective actions have been taken and the tests system is functioning properly

    We think you'd be great for this role if you have:

    • Minimum 2 to 3 years of clinical laboratory experience
    • BCLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
