    YOUR ROLE AT PFH:

    As a Medical Records Clerk, you are responsible for duties that ensure appropriate and timely response to medical records requests.. You will:

    • Review record requests for necessary elements and determine appropriate response
    • Return all phone calls, voicemails and emails within one business day of receipt
    • Coordinate fulfillment of requests with third party vendor as appropriate
    • Assist third party vendor with policy and procedure questions

    We think you'd be great for this role if you have or can get:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Graduate from an accredited college or university with Associates Degree in Health Information Management (preferred)

    Employment is conditional upon the receipt of appropriate background checks. Upon offer of employment, you must grant permission for Preferred Family Healthcare to verify accuracy, legitimacy, and results in regards to the following conditions of employment:

    • Background check that includes criminal history and abuse/ neglect.
    • Motor vehicle driving record check.
    • Education and license/certification verification (if applicable).
    • Employment and/or personal reference checks.

    Physical Requirements:  ADA Consideration - Light work. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
