    Description & Requirements

    Maximus is currently seeking a Project Entity Support/OPTN Coordination Specialist for a bid opportunity. This position supports the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in overseeing the national organ transplant system. At the center of that is the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), which ensures organs are allocated fairly and based on medical need. A modernizing effort is underway for how policies are developed-making the process more efficient, data-driven, and transparent.

    Our role is to enable that process-supporting administrative processes, managing financial records and coordinating special reports which ensure policies are implemented effectively. It’s a high-impact program that contributes directly to improving outcomes for patients in need of life-saving transplants and the successful hire will be a part of this effort.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support and coordinate all project management initiatives.
    • Schedule, plan, and coordinate project activities.
    • Create and maintain project tracking tools and documentation.
    • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
    • Contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
    • Communicate on complex or sensitive issues or draft responses for supervisor or manager.

    Coordinates tasks and provides professional administrative support to one or more project teams.

    Prepares and maintains project plans, tracks project progress, and prepares reports for clients or project stakeholders.

    Reviews project requirements, identifies interdependencies with internal or external departments or service providers, delegates responsibilities, and ensures that work is completed as needed.

    Schedules cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration.

    Maintains project-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, or payment records.

    Performs work under minimal supervision.

    Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

    Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

    May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.

    Reports to a department head or manager.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in related field.
    • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of education.

    Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Competencies: Oral and written communication skills. Customer service skills. Research skills. Organizational skills. Detail oriented. Project management skills.

    Preferred:

    4-5 years experience or equivalent combination of Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience

    Experience performing analytical tasks such as maintaining financial databases, and developing reports.

    Experience leading or providing guidance to less experienced administrative staff.

    Experience contributing to completion of program projects and goals.

    Experience drafting responses for leadership

    This position is US remote and will require a home office. Home office requirements:

    Reliable high-speed internet service

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
