Project Manager I - San Francisco Department of Public Health (5502)
Job Description
DPH Facilities & Capital Planning oversees the leasing, acquisition, improvement, and maintenance of all public health buildings in the City & County of San Francisco, including primary care clinics, outpatient and residential behavioral health facilities, and administrative buildings. Given the citywide priority to expand access to key behavioral health services, this position will focus primarily on a portfolio of behavioral health projects meant to consolidate, expand, modernize, and improve behavioral health services in DPH’s continuum of care.
Under the administrative direction of the DPH Facilities and Capital Planning Advisor and with guidance from a Project Manager II, the 5502 Project Manager I will act as a Project Manager and a primary liaison between DPH Facilities & Capital Planning and DPH clinical programs, DPW capital projects staff, and external contractors. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
The 5502 Project Manager I performs other related duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or planning; AND
1A . Four (4) years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience; OR
2. Bachelor's Degree in another field; AND
2A. Six (6) years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project; OR
3. Eight (8) years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project; OR
4. California registration as professional engineer or architect.
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).
