Conduct quality review of completed Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Level II assessments for applicants to and residents of Medicaid-certified nursing facilities with a known or suspected serious mental illness or intellectual/developmental disability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform document-based quality control review of PASRR assessments
• Responsible for conducting desk-based second-level review of assessments for individuals with medical conditions and/or cognitive impairments which impact their participation in daily living activities.
• Responsible for completing and submitting assessment reviews within the respective timeline, adhering to quality benchmarks and contractual specifications, utilizing computer database system
• Responsible for engagement and performance feedback for Assessors, including onboarding assistance, making/following up on referrals, tracking responsiveness, and informing both Recruiting and Credentialing and PASRR Program Manager in writing when performance and/or responsiveness issues arise with any Assessor
• Must work within a tight turnaround time assuring contract compliance
• Attends and participates in scheduled contract, committee, and all-staff meetings
• Completes other job duties as assigned or necessary

Experience

• The job requires at least four (4) years of experience working with individuals with MH and/or IDD.
• High School Diploma with 0-2 years of experience.
• May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
• Works on assignments that are routine in nature, with responsibilities easily learned on the job.
• Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Able to read, understand & perform assignments within prescribed guidelines.
• Communicates routine information in a clear and accurate way with internal & external contacts.

Education

The job requires a North Carolina-licensed Master’s Level Social Worker, Psych Registered Nurse, or other mental health (MH) and/or intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) professional w/similar training/experience.
