The Committee Support Specialist is a position that supports Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in overseeing the national organ transplant system. At the center of that is the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), which ensures organs are allocated fairly and based on medical need. A modernizing effort is underway for how policies are developed-making the process more efficient, data-driven, and transparent.
Our role is to enable that process-supporting committees, managing workflows, which ensure policies are implemented effectively. It’s a high-impact program that contributes directly to improving outcomes for patients in need of life-saving transplants and the successful hires will be a part of this effort.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Duties: Prepares reports and presentation materials. Receives and responds to correspondence. Receives and directs visitors. Schedules meetings, and performs other duties as assigned. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Minimum Requirements
Competencies: Computer skills. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
