  • Responsibilities

    Data Analytics Analysts are skilled individual contributors with proficiency in BI platforms and data analytics. They produce valuable insights, building reports and dashboards and conducting analyses in support of ongoing project operations and strategic initiatives. They develop operational workforce tools and analyses, conduct analyses on large volumes of data, and address business problems. They have skills with enterprise business intelligence tools and are comfortable interacting with end-users, stakeholders, and development teams. They are able to build high quality products and relationships with appropriate support as needed.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and derive meaningful, actionable insights for stakeholders and business development partners.

    • Serve as point of contact for data and analytical usage, particularly in the appropriate uses and limitations of statistical and analytical applications.

    • Analyze extracted data, identify trends and provide insights and analyses around operations and project data.

    • Develop and implement new metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs and in existing BI/Dashboards as needed.

    • Ad hoc tool development to support operational and underserved analytical areas.

    • Learning emerging technologies and systems of need for SOA PAX initiatives.

    • Activities to support team communication and strategy implementation (meetings, etc.).

    • Project management activities.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BS in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Machine Learning (or similar).

    • 3+ years of experience performing quantitative data analysis.

    • Business Intelligence platform development experience, with demonstrated ability to deploy analysis results through reports and dashboards.

    • Exposure to machine learning techniques and algorithms.

    • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL and use of relational databases and SQL

    • Experience quantifying and prioritizing projects that require heavy data analysis.

    • Experience working directly with business users and requirements documentation.

    • A strong passion for empirical research and for answering complex questions with data.

    • Experience with government sponsored health care programs and operations desirable.

    PAY TRANSPARENCY

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation.
