The Senior Level (SL) system is for positions classified above GS-15 that do not meet the criteria for the Senior Executive Service (SES), nor do they involve the fundamental research and development responsibilities that are characteristic of the Scientific or Professional (ST) system.
This Senior Level (SL) position is with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO), Office of the Director (OD), Atlanta, Georgia.

As a requirement for SL, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible senior experience that is indicative of senior level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities listed in the assessment questionnaire. To meet the qualification requirements for this position, your resume should emphasize levels of responsibility, scope, and complexity of programs managed, program accomplishments, and results.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level related to the work of this position that has provided candidates with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) and professional technical qualifications (PTQs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include serving as a principal management advisor and consultant to executive management officials for strategic program planning, implementation, and evaluations for arbitration and settlement cases, and business services, operations, and policies for a large organization..
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following KSAs, PTQs and other characteristics. 1. Knowledge of pertinent Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, rules, and regulations regarding settlements and other cases.

Salary for SL positions varies depending on qualifications. The annual salary range is at the beginning of this announcement. This position may be eligible for performance bonuses and performance-based pay adjustments.
