    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Oversee vendor relations, purchasing and vendor payments.

    - Oversee the performance of facilities staff.

    - Oversee and ensure the appropriate response to all types of emergencies and crisis situations.

    - Oversee contractors for facility renovation projects including HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor arrangements, etc.

    - Maintain current knowledge in the field of facilities management, maintenance, and security.

    - Establish, implement, and update facility/security related policies and procedures.

    - Follow all safety precautions, standards, policies, and procedures.

    - Report and communicate effectively with operations staff.

    - Conduct budget forecasting.

    As an intern Site Security Manager / Facility Manager within Maximus Federal, you will support the operational readiness, safety, and security posture of designated facilities.

    This includes physical security, access control systems, emergency management, facility maintenance oversight, contractor coordination, safety compliance, and support for daily operational continuity.

    Minimum Requirements

    - Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Week 1 Introduction to Maximus & Facility Ops:

    Understand the company's history, values, future clients, lines of business, and service. Learn how Facilities support operations.

    Week 2 Vendor & Contract Oversight:

    Learn vendor coordination, vendor relationships, drafting of contracts and SOWs, SLA tracking, and facility service contracts

    Week 3 Intro to Physical Security:

    Identify core protective measures, access control, and visitor management

    Week 4 Facility Management Operations:

    Understand building systems, maintenance workflows, and inspections.

    Week 5 Access Control & Security Systems:

    Hands-on badge creation, CCTV, alarm systems and audits

    Week 6 Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA):

    Understand mandated security trainings and briefings for clearance holders.

    Week 7 Introduction to Enterprise Security Programs:

    Learn major components of a federal security program

    Week 8 Personnel Security & Clearance Management:

    Understand the lifecycle of security clearances and processes.
