HCT-I/Classroom Based Trainer I Salary $31,200.00 - $38,229.00 Annually Location Burke County, NC Job Type Permanent Full-Time Department Dept of Health and Human Services Job Number 18-11296 Closing 10/11/2018 5:00 PM Eastern Description of Work The HCT I/Classroom Based Health Care Technician 1 (CBTR1) is responsible for providing educational and direct care services during the day program and other areas as needed. The CBTR1 is responsible for implementing training for groups of residents addressing the skill areas of self-care, vocational communication, community living and functional academics. This includes, but not limited to, designing and writing goaled programs, collecting data on resident objectives, writing monthly progress notes and transporting residents to various locations, both on and off campus, in a state van. The position requires the ability to comprehend and implement verbal and written directions including residents' person-centered plans. React quickly under stressful situations to keep residents safe and intervene with resident care based on individual BSPs. Additionally, this position Must assist residents with personal care in both the home(s), the classroom and during mealtimes through out the day. The selected candidate must be physically and mentally capable of providing seven hours of care and training to individuals with severe intellectual and physical disabilities with a one hour meeting / planning time allotment.
