This position provides supervision for subordinate staff, conducts Shift Line-up, makes shift assignments and inspects all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post. Completes reviews and maintains time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performances evaluations and administrative forms. Account for persons and funds. Insures that all assigned equipment is operational. Identify training needs and coordinate delivery of training to subordinate staff. Conduct investigations. Develop prison operational, emergency plans and post orders. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Listed below are the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) associated with this position. These KSAs, along with the minimum education and experience listed, are required in order to be deemed 'eligible' for the position. You must demonstrate through documented experience or provide supporting information within the body of your application to demonstrate your possession of ALL KSAs listed. Documented supervisory skills in a prison facility. Knowledge of facility operations. Knowledge of Prison's policy and procedures. Documented report writing skills. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school or General Education Development (GED) diploma and two years six months of experience as a Correctional Lieutenant, or two years of experience as a Correctional Lieutenant II; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Special Qualifications Must be eligible for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
