The position assists and reports directly to the Administrative Officer III and will provide accounting and clerical support to the Administrative Services section. This position maintains records using a personal computer, and systematic filing system. Position tracks all purchase requests utilizing excel spreadsheet to ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to procurement of good/services. Position will utilize the North Carolina Accounting System (NCAS), frequently, to track the facility budget. Will enter all approved requests into excel spreadsheet to ensure accurate and up-to-date report on availability of funds. Serves as a backup to Accounting Technicians in the areas of trust fund, accounts payable, and other accounting functions. Frequent use of word, access, and excel. Position will perform extensive data input, produce and create forms, compose memos, letters and other type correspondence.
