    Administrative Associate II Salary $27,780.00 - $44,091.00 Annually Location Wake County, NC Job Type Permanent Full-Time Department Dept of the Secretary of State Job Number 60008675 Closing 1/15/2019 5:00 PM Eastern Description of Work The Order Processing Unit position is charged with carrying out all statutory duties assigned to the Secretary of State for preserving corporate documents and records. The major purposes of this position are to; 1) receive and prepare for long-term storage of documents filed by the Business Registration Division; 2) monitor the Secretary of State's Knowledge Base Information System (SOSKB) for requested document retrieval and imaging; 3) respond to requests for documents placed via the Internet or the Information Specialist Unit of the Business Registration Division; 4) research customer inquiries and respond to public or governmental requests for corporate information; 5) manage and distribute division correspondence; 6) perform cash management duties assigned to the division; and 7) to process gold seals documents for the use in foreign jurisdictions; and 8) process previously filed documents in accordance with the Division Retention Schedule. This position also performs the processes necessary to transfer digital images of filed documents to microfilm media via a Kodak Archivewriter. Management Preference: The successful candidate will have a general knowledge of records management processes in addition to data entry experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies The candidate should possess word processing skills and knowledge of Microsoft computer software packages such as Word and Excel. This individual should be adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment and should be a self-starter. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
