You must also keep those relevant boxes checked once you submit your application; if you uncheck the box with an active application it will delete the attachment.) **** **Job Overview: **This position performs quality assurance activities for services provided to persons with developmental disabilities including visits to residential group homes, individual residences and day service locations. Other responsibilities include: on-site visits to ensure health, safety, and quality of life for service recipients; monitors trends in incident management reports to prevent future occurrences. **Essential Functions (Major Duties or Responsibilities): ** **** Quality Assurance * Conducts on-site visits to ensure health, safety, and quality of life for service recipients. * Provides assistance and guidance to service providers by interpreting rules, policies, and procedures. * Conducts ongoing and annual program compliance and quality assurance reviews. * Monitors and addresses program deficiencies involving the quality of services provided by regional contractors. * Assists service providers in creating corrective action plans. * Responds to concerns reported by consumers, families, community members, or other interested parties. Incident Management * Participates in incident management meetings. * Provides guidance and technical assistance to service providers in response to crisis situations with individuals receiving services. * Conducts critical incident investigations and reviews other investigations conducted by service providers. * Monitors trends in incident management reports to prevent future occurrences. Other Duties as Assigned * Participates on eligibility determination review panels for children up to 8 years of age. * Administers, scores, and interprets adaptive behavior assessments. * Completes special services determination for nursing home residents Level 2 - Preadmission Screen Annual Resident Review (PASARR). **Physical and Environmental Demands: ** Typical office environment. However, there will be periods of unscheduled and scheduled in-state travel to provider agencies (approximately 20%). **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors): ** Required for the first day of work: * Knowledge of developmental disabilities resources and services. * Knowledge of group mediation and problem resolution. * Ability to maintain effective working relationships by using tact and professionalism. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. * Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve complex problems. * Ability to operate personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, internet, and other computer programs.
