Job Description
Under general supervision a Station Agent works in a booth at a Municipal Railway Metro station
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Nature of work: Requires incumbents to work weekends, different shifts and holidays; work alone in stations during early morning and late night hours; stoop, bend, kneel, reach, lift, and climb to perform a variety of duties; work in inclement weather; open and close stations by lifting and pulling gate assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
Two (2) years of verifiable work experience in a job requiring extensive public contact with a major portion of the duties dealing with complaints and inquiries.

Selection Procedures : (General Exam Process Information)
After application submission, candidates deemed qualified must complete all subsequent steps to advance in this selection process, which includes the following:
Written Multiple-Choice Examination (Weight: 100%): Candidates deemed eligible and admitted to the examination process will be administered a written multiple-choice test designed to measure knowledge, skills and abilities in job-related areas that may include but not be limited to: knowledge of customer relations; ability to read maps; and ability to read and comprehend written materials.
This will be a computer-administered test to be taken at home or location of one’s convenience, but only within the time-period specified on the test notification. Candidates must have access to a computer and reliable internet connection to participate in this exam. Using a desktop or laptop is required, and the acceptable browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
This is a standardized examination and, therefore, test questions and test answers are not available for public inspection or review.

** Eligibility List/Score Report** :
A confidential eligible list of applicant names that have passed the civil service examination process will be created and used for certification purposes only. An examination score report will be established, so applicants can view the ranks, final scores and number of eligible candidates. Applicant information, including names of applicants on the eligible list, shall not be made public unless required by law. However, an eligible list shall be made available for public inspection, upon request, once the eligible list is exhausted or expired and referrals resolved. The eligible list/score report resulting from this civil service examination process is subject to change after adoption (e.g., as a result of appeals), as directed by the Director of Transportation or the Civil Service Commission.
The duration of the eligible list resulting from this examination process will be of 24 months and may be extended with the approval of the Director of Transportation.
