Position Summary The Clinical Support Representative (CSR) assists Account Mangers to support Customer facing activities primarily in post-order sales support including in servicing, support of projects/installations and ORI startups within a Region. The CSR performs the value-added services to differentiate STERIS from its competitors which includes (but is not limited to) equipment audits, EEP program utilization/support and Customer in-services. The CSR also supports the after-sale process, including inventory of deliveries, post order submittal sign-off and in-servicing to ensure Customers have a thorough knowledge of the safe use of equipment. Duties * Assists Account Mangers to support Customer facing activities in primary in post-actions including support of projects/installations within the territory. * Possesses a working knowledge of STERIS products and services (clinical applications, functions, features, and benefits) and how to properly position them as viable Customer solutions. Understands and effectively presents technical literature and how it applies to solving the Customer needs. * Understands and effectively presents technical literature and information of all products when needed. * Provides exceptional Customer Service by providing support with initial use of equipment/services including onsite support and startup of video integration. * Acts as a liaison between Service and Sales at the time of installation. * Plays a support role in the after-sale process, including post order submittal, OAI, planning sheet sign off and in-servicing to ensure Customers have a thorough knowledge of the safe use of equipment. * Develops relationships with Customers in OR, ICU (all Critical care), ED, MM, Biomed, SPD, Infection Prevention, Risk Management, Nursing staff and Surgeons/Physicians. * Is knowledgeable about each accounts history, contacts, and current and long-term purchase plans for designated products. * Identifies and recognizes key business opportunities and trends to appropriate team member. * Observes and reports competitor activity and tactics to management. * Assists in generating quotes. * Effectively communicates with key team members and support resources in the territory. * Provides Customer feedback to team members as appropriate. * Records Customer feedback and complaint information through the proper quality processes and channels. * Acts on potential prospecting leads from existing Customers and communicates quickly with team members. * Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships and communication with counterparts in Sterile Processing, PDMs, Corporate and Strategic Accounts, Field Representations and home office support teams. * Performs other duties as assigned by management. Education Degree Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing Required Experience * Bachelors degree preferred; Associates degree/2-year technical degree or equivalent a must. Prefer to see current enrollment towards completion of bachelor degree. * 2+ years of documented successful sales or clinical hospital experience in medical device sales or B2B strongly preferred or 2+years of experience in the ORI/SPD, or in support of those functions such as Clinical Engineering, Hospital IT.; experience in audio/visual communications is strongly preferred. * Upon hire, successful completion of product specific training modules is required. * Strong demonstration of drive, energy and passion towards accomplishing goals. * Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical/clinical information * Demonstrated ability to build relationships. * Possess excellent listening skills * Excellent organizational skills. * Strong analytical skills. * Strong team player.
