    This position is contingent upon contract award.

     

    PAR Government is searching for a Software Engineer/Developer with an active TS/SCI security clearance, to support our growing work with a government customer in Dayton, Ohio.

    The candidate selected will provide software engineering and development support to produce and deliver results related to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) development efforts. Primary activity is software design, development, integration, and testing. Duties also include preparation of specifications, performance of studies, primary and secondary fact finding, and demonstration/exercise support.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    • Develop, integrate, and test software solutions with minimal daily supervisory requirement.
    • Develop new software or readily modify existing software.
    • Take immediate direction from Chief Architect and Chief Engineer.
    • Develop in a controlled software configuration management environment.
    • Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in mission applications, information-processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
    • Implement analytical approaches that require knowledge of traditional programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python and others.
    • Develop and maintain program level documentation; Software Development Plans.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical field.
    • Experience with Java, JavaScript, MATLAB, IDL, C++, HTML, Python and other programming approved languages.
    • Prefer 5+ years of software engineering and/or development experience
    • Active TS/SCI Clearance (will consider Secret Collateral on case-by-case basis)

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or similar degree program or equivalent work experience.
    • At least three years’ experience as an information security analyst.
    • Must possess broad general knowledge of Information Technology, including storage, networking, systems, databases, firewalls; with a preference for experience as one or more of the following: software developer, systems or network engineer, database administration, or an equivalent technical role.
    • Conceptional knowledge of and experience with monitoring and using a wide variety of security tools, including but not limited to host and network-based intrusion prevention/detection systems, firewalls, anti-malware, and content filtering, firewalls, vulnerability management, security information and event management, network detection and response, network and host-based data loss prevention, and asset management.
    • Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST CsF (SP 800-171), SOC 2 Common Criteria, and other security frameworks is desirable.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical concepts with non-technical people.
    • Project management skills preferred.
    • Ability to work an on-call rotation, some after-hours, and weekends.
    • Ability to work well with others.
