    Desktop Support Specialist SUNSHINE ENTERPRISE USA - Tampa International Airport, FL $25 - $30 an hour - Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Contract POSITION OVERVIEW This position will be engaged in professional work in the ITS (Information Technology Services) Department which is developmental in nature including basic technical work products in information technology serving the Aviation Authority organization. Employees in this class are expected to support the resolution of basic work problems and tasks. Work requires creative and original thinking and is performed under the direction of more senior ITS staff. This position requires basic knowledge in at least one of the following areas: database administration, network management, desktop management, server management, application design, application development, enterprise architecture, quality assurance, incident management, security management, financial management, service management, production application services, audio visual systems support, asset management, storage area network, middleware management, project/portfolio management and document management. POSITIONACCOUNTABILITIES * Prepares, manages, and supports the client workstation experience. * Performs Tier I and Tier II support (Helpdesk and Desktop Support). * Performs troubleshooting on shared airline equipment (workstations, printers, baggage tag/boarding pass printers) * Research and develop the future technology plans for the * Prepares project plans and schedules to include coordinating requirements, tasks, work assignments, and resources to ensure project integrity for customer

    • Ensures client equipment meets or exceeds applicable compliance requirements (eg. PCI or CJIS). * Utilizes industry standard tools to locate and remediate security vulnerabilities. * Participates directly in project development, as required. * Prepares and reviews specifications for information systems for all client equipment purchases. * Performs other related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum qualifications: Graduation from an accredited two year degree granting college or university with a major in Computer Science, Business Management, Public Administration, Accounting, or Engineering; and 2 years of experience managing desktops for a medium or large organization. Preference for applicant to have Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP certification. Substitution: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED certificate; and 3 years of experience managing desktops for a medium or large organization. Preference for applicant to have Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP certification.
