DESCRIPTION Tepa, LLC, is a rapidly growing construction, environmental
consulting and technology company seeking a HR Generalist for our Kansas
City, Missouri, office supporting the Director of Human Resources to
successfully implement local initiatives, and execute regional and
corporate programs. Help to create an environment to attract, develop,
retain and engage talent throughout the company to deliver business
goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage administration of the HRIS system.
Coordinate the day-to-day employee operations such as new employee
onboarding/orientations and exit process, processing paperwork with
payroll/benefits, maintaining employee records, employee files and
employee data, and processing employee status changes (new hires,
transfers, change status and terminations). Regularly evaluate the
on-boarding process effectiveness and proactively suggest and implement
approved enhancements. Partner with management to proactively provide
employee relations counseling and coaching as appropriate. Ensure
compliance with all federal and state laws and company guidelines
regarding matters of employment law and regulation. Respond to
management and staff inquiries regarding HR issues, and ensure uniform
and equitable application of policies and procedures. Work closely with
both employees and managers to improve work relationships, build morale
and increase productivity and retention. Conduct internal investigations
in response to employee complaints, disciplinary and performance related
issue. Stay up to date on employment laws and trends and recommend
updates to employee policies and handbooks as necessary. Conduct exit
interviews and analyze employee data and make recommendations to
management accordingly. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee
information including FLSA classifications, job descriptions and
competencies by position. Design and develop programs to enhance company
culture and drive employee satisfaction. Perform project related
activities and other functions as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 2 -
3 years experience in HR role Strong knowledge of employment law and
employee relations Intermediate or better proficiency with MS Word,
Excel, and Outlook. PowerPoint a plus Ability to demonstrate strong
organizational, prioritization and problem solving skills and attention
to detail Able to maintain high standards of confidentiality Excellent
written & verbal communication skills, ability to exercise tact &
diplomacy Team focused, can-do attitude and ability to work flexible
hours as required Education: Bachelors in Human Resources, Business or
related field desired Work Environment : Casual work environment Office
