    Intern, Systems Salary $8,320,000.00 Annually Location Los Angeles, CA Job Type Intern Department Policy & Systems Job Number PPD10001 Job Summary The Coordinated Entry System Division, within the Policy & Systems Department of LAHSA, provides critical support and leadership in implementing and strengthening LA County's Coordinated Entry System (CES) for all populations, as well as support for enhancing the operational infrastructure at community-based organizations through the Capacity Building Unit to reduce and end homelessness in greater Los Angeles. Under the supervision of a CES Manager, the Systems Intern will assist with a broad range of activities related to System development, design, and implementation pertaining to homeless persons and the programs that serve them. Specifications: 3 Month Temporary Internship Position Salary : $4,000 Stipend Essential Job Functions Create resource pamphlet for systems, providers, and stakeholders Conduct thorough analysis of issue areas relative to homelessness, housing, and service programming trends including an emphasis on best practices and relevant regulations/statutes aimed at reducing homelessness culminating in a capstone report. Support the evaluation of new programs, initiatives, and projects that are aimed to improve our homeless service delivery system Prepare a range of materials regarding pending policy and system analysis, including but not limited to resolutions and letters of support, as needed. Represent LAHSA at CES-related meetings. Create and provide trainings and presentations of CES for various stakeholders Other related duties assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, be proactive, and exercise good judgment. Excellent time management and organization skills. Strong attention to detail. Training & Experience Current enrollment in an accredited Master's program in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Urban Planning or related field.
