Position Summary
The Emergency Management Tier II Support Staff provides administrative and technical support in the collection, review, and management of Tier II chemical storage reports submitted by facilities across the city. This role assists with preparing and sending invoices, collecting and depositing payments, tracking delinquent facilities, and cataloguing Tier II plans for sites storing hazardous chemicals. The position supports broader emergency preparedness efforts under the supervision of the Health and Medical Program Manager.
Essential Functions
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
** Knowledge**
Administrative and record-keeping practices.
Principles of emergency management or public safety.
Fundamentals of hazardous materials awareness and Tier II reporting.
** Skills**
Skill in organizing information and tracking deadlines.
Skill in accurate data entry and document management.
Skill in clear written and verbal communication.
** Abilities**
Ability to learn and apply regulations related to chemical storage reporting.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, external partners, and regulated facilities.
Qualifications
Completion of High School or Equivalent.
No prior experience required; administrative or emergency management–related experience preferred.

Hourly Rate**: $22.45 - $24.40
