Responsibilities The selectee will serve as an Asset Forfeiture Specialist in the Office of Investigations, Criminal Investigative Division. Typical work assignments include: * Serving as point of contact with the Department of Justice and Department of the Treasury Asset Forfeiture offices, U.S. Attorneys offices, other Federal investigative bureaus, and state and local law enforcement entities on issues that impact the asset forfeiture process; overseeing the sharing program which includes personal and real property and money; and reviewing forfeiture notices for criminal and civil judicial cases prepared by the United States Attorneys offices for accuracy. * Monitoring and entering data into FasTrak to maintain its integrity, and ensuring that all notices are processed in accordance with policy. * Arranging for timely legal notice/advertising of all administrative forfeitures; and providing assistance to contract employees on asset forfeiture related to administrative advertising (declaration/petitions/closings and the civil judicial and criminal forfeiture process to include the processing of judicial documents).
