Intern INTERN The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS is searching for a Information Technology Intern for the Department of Technology. This position will require great customer service, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. This position will provide learning opportunities and hands-on experience in a full range of Information Technology tasks and systems. Responsibilities will include providing technical support, assisting IT staff with various projects and daily tasks, and managing physical inventory. The Technology Intern will: Work closely with various IT staff to develop user policies and procedures; assist IT staff with configuring Cisco and Polycom Desk Phones; assist IT staff with providing end-user training and support; will be responsible for creating compliance-based documents/videos/training; create or update internal documentation of network, asset management, workflows and other various functions/tasks; become familiar with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager for troubleshooting. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in/recently completed a degree/tech school program for Information Systems; excellent communication and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems, and a willingness to learn. Candidate may work up to 1000 hours for a calendar year. Salary: $15.00/hr.
