    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) works with a global network of partners to build an inclusive industry that makes clean cooking accessible to the three billion people who live each day without it. Established in 2010, CCA is driving consumer demand, mobilizing investment to build a pipeline of scalable businesses, and fostering an enabling environment that allows the sector to thrive. Clean cooking transforms lives by improving health, protecting the climate and environment, empowering women, and helping consumers save time and money. CCA serves as one of the central knowledge hubs for the clean cooking sector. As such, CCA must remain up to date on the latest clean cooking evidence and strategically disseminate new findings and tools to stakeholders. New research comes out regularly, and partners working on these issues need help interpreting the data, findings, and implications for action; the Evidence & Impact team leads this work. The Research Fellow will support the Evidence & Impact team in synthesizing and disseminating research findings both internally and externally. S/he will report to the Senior Director, Evidence & Impact. S/he is responsible for staying informed on the latest and most critical research (peer-reviewed and grey literature) in the sector and synthesizing and communicating this evidence into clear and easily digestible outputs such as blogs, tweets, etc. S/he works closely across CCA’s teams, especially the Advocacy & Communications team. To support CCA’s research communications strategy, the Fellow will frequently create and refine presentations, infographics, and other materials. Proficiency in visual communications and presentation tools such as PowerPoint is strongly recommended. The Fellow should also possess technical knowledge in health, environment/climate, economics/econometrics, gender, international development, political science, public policy, or related topic areas.
