Internship Description: Wake County is looking for a video intern to
join its award-winning Communications Office in downtown Raleigh. If you
are a creative storyteller who knows how to use video and animation to
connect with internal and external audiences, we would love to hear from
you! The selected intern will assist the countys Video Producer with: *
Creating videos to expand the reach of the countys message while
connecting with the target audience in a unique way; * Assisting with
logistics for video shoots with staff, stakeholders and partners; and *
Helping to set up equipment to ensure optimal lighting and sound
conditions, as well as good shot composition. A 15-25 hour-per-week
internship schedule will be determined based on the applicant selected.
Interns are not paid, but may receive course credit. Wake County will
pay for parking for the selected intern. Requirements: Successful
candidates will be working toward a degree in video production or other
related area of focus. The selected intern will possess: * Ability to
use video storytelling to convey important messages, educate target
audiences and deliver calls to action that generate results. * Knowledge
of professional video and DSLR cameras, sound acquisition and lighting.
- Knowledge of the editing process (experience with the Adobe suite
preferred). * Ability to troubleshoot when problems rise. * Experience
getting shots that make the ordinary look more interesting to the
viewers eye. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Critical thinking and
problem-solving skills. * Creative thinking and the ability to
brainstorm great ideas with others. * Ability to focus on small details
