Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) is looking for an experienced Human Resource Consultant 2 (HRC2) to join an elite team of HR professionals that will support staff administrations at the Child Study Treatment Center (CSTC) in Tacoma and Western State Hospital (WSH) in Lakewood. The main work location will be at Child Study Treatment Center with one day a week at Western State Hospital. As an HR generalist you will be responsible for providing professional level human resource services and consultation to appointing authorities, managers, supervisors, and employees on a wide variety of sensitive, complex and critical HR issues. You will have the opportunity to: Provide guidance and advice to supervisors and employees regarding various inquiries related to Just Cause, Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and Washington Administrative Codes (WAC). Provide consultation regarding type of leave, use of leave, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Shared Leave, recruitment, layoff, hiring process, reasonable accommodation, performance evaluation requirements, reallocation requests, salary, periodic increment dates, and other appointment procedures. On-board and off-board staff. Input and maintenance of employee data within Human Resource Management System (HRMS). Maintain and ensure confidentiality of all personnel, medical/affirmative action, reasonable accommodation files, and I-9 forms in accordance with DSHS policies. Maintain personnel files in the agency document imaging system. Successful candidates will have the following: A Bachelor's Degree with focus in business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences or related field AND one year of professional human resources experience OR Equivalent education/experience.
