    Intern- Organizational Development - (KAN0033) JOB TITLE: Organizational Development Intern Human Resources REQUISITION: KAN0033 DEPARTMENT: Human Resources LOCATION: KCPL Headquarters, Kansas City, MO PAY RANGE: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour Scheduled Work Hours: During the summer- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible hours available during the school year. Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Organizational Development Intern will assist the human resource Workforce Planning and Diversity and Organizational Development group with a variety of activities related to talent management. Responsibilities include gaining knowledge of human resource activities, recruitment and outreach efforts, community relations and strategic partnerships. Assignments may involve projects such as: assisting with building partnerships with school districts, post-secondary education institutions, various community partners, researching current issues related to diversity and inclusion, and updating documentation. May also be responsible for routine project administrative functions. Education and Experience Requirements: Second, third and fourth year student actively pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Communications, or related analytical field. Summer Partnership students will be considered for this role. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required: Must be dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work and communicate effectively with other company personnel. Proficiency in spreadsheet applications is required. Knowledge of word processing and database programs is beneficial. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and operate efficiently and effectively in a moderate stress environment. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance. Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions.
