Employment with Yavapai County Government is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background check and verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses and certifications, as applicable. Major Duties and Responsibilities High volume of customer service in both personal contact and telephone. Evaluates circumstances; directs customers to appropriate areas; answers questions; determines case status. (20%) Data entry; verifies, enters, retrieves, corrects, updates in the court management system; imaging functions, retrieves files and documents. (20%) Receipting and other financial transactions. (20%) Issuance of applications, certificates and licenses. (20%) Receive and process court related documents, ensuring confidentiality, completeness and conformity for Superior Court. (10%) Retrieve, sort and deliver mail. (5%) Performs other work as required or assigned. (5%) Expectations: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other agencies and the public. Follow written and verbal instructions. Receipt large amounts of cash, making the appropriate change without shortages or overages in cash drawer. Communicate orally and by telephone with public and employees in a face to face setting. Operate a variety of standard office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements. Enter data using a keyboard device. Remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time. Occasional travel. Minimum Qualifications Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of clerical or administrative experience. Education: Equivalent to a high school education. Knowledge and Skills Interpersonal Skills: Work occasionally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate co-workers generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information that may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (citizens or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing normal assistance to provide information.
