North America Finance Internship Requisition ID 2018-5266 # of Openings 2 Job Locations US-NY-New York Category Internship Overview Background: The Young & Rubicam Advertising team for North America oversees up to 15 field operations in New York, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, Toronto, Kansas City, Atlanta, Detroit, and several departmental operations including Shared Financial Services group, Facilities and IT. Responsibilities Job Title: Finance/Accounting Intern Department : Finance, Y&R North America Reports to: Primary Function: The intern position will be responsible for supporting the Y&R North America team with the day to day operations and oversight. The Y&R North America team will provide a meaningful and rewarding work experience within the related finance/accounting field. Major Responsibilities: Coordinate, collect and print all monthly reporting files provided to Y&R North America by local offices for team review Assist with monthly input of financial data into Reporting System (Cartesis) Assist with variance analysis of actuals (P&L and Balance Sheet) compared to latest forecasts, monthly commentaries analysis Prepare and review Journal Entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations. Maintain CAPEX spend reconciliation by office location and compare against approved budget Prepare daily/weekly cash journal entries for North America Assist Y&R North America group with preparation and compilation of quarterly forecast reviews Reporting/Reconciliation of Net Working Capital accounts including Accounts Receivable, Accrued Revenue, Work in Progress (WIP), Deferred Revenue Help Y&R North America organize and maintain work files to be shared electronically amongst the team Ad Hoc requests from management as needed Qualifications Qualifications: Senior in college working towards Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Strong Excel skills (macro / programming a plus) Detail oriented, ambitious, good interpersonal and communication skills Options Apply for this job online Apply Share Email this job to a friend Refer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
