    Major Duties

    • Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other test equipment.
    • Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product.
    • Knowledge of the various techniques for removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and components.
    • Skill to make adjustments and settings and in the operation of tools and equipment used.
    • Understanding of diagnostic and test equipment; the make-up and operation of systems and their interrelationship.

    Qualification Summary

    Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds (occasionally, move object over 50 pounds with assistance or with mechanical devices) Possess a valid motor vehicle operators permit. Have work experience performing the identified duties. Be able to work independently. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess state inspection and/or emissions certificate. Experience MUST be reflected on your Resume at the time of application and Certifications MUST be uploaded to the Documents section to be considered for Standard and/or Highly Qualified for this position. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants may be referred for consideration at managements request.
