    Major Duties

    • Provides advice and assistance to the Military Services and/or Combatant Commands (CCMDs) and and/or Regional Area of Responsibilities (AORs) on their Troop Support requirements.
    • Evaluates concept of operations for Logistics Plans (LOGPLANs) within supported AORs to ensure key performance indicators are aligned with customer expectations.
    • Collaborates with the Supply Chain Customer Facing elements to identify opportunities for tailored logistics programs in support of Military Services and/or CCMDs.
    • Provides regular status updates in contingency planning meetings at the strategic and operational level.
    • Coordinates all applicable Troop Support, Classes of Supply (I, II, IV, and VIII) material support for designated customers.
    • Works across Troop Support supply chains to ensure customer needs are communicated and requirements are met.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Customer Support Liaison your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Developing and integrating material and logistics support requirements to develop overall logistics support plans. Acting as a customer advocate and a primary point of contact and as a customer focal point for all issues related to logistics, supply chain support, and life cycle management of assigned systems and programs. Coordinating areas of supply procedures, forecasting, requirements determination, documentation, acquisitioning, quality control, maintenance, item specifications, procurement data, transportation pipelines, manufacturing, fabrication, production, and life cycle support for customer programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
