    Major Duties

    • Provides input to demand planning for assigned customers, and the Prime Vendor Business Logistics Specialist in support of Tailored Logistics Programs.
    • Coordinates required logistics support between DLA entities and Military Services (MILSVC) entities, and Regional AORs, Combatant Commands, and/or Whole of Government (WoG)/Other Services.
    • Participates in Service and non-DoD training programs to provide the customers information on the troop support classes of supply, Customer Relationship, Management, Process Management, and other initiatives within DLA.
    • Works jointly with DLA entities assigned to customer activities in developing material and logistics support requirements for assigned program workload and integrates all required actions to develop overall logistics support plans.
    • Ensures policy and procedures provide responsive support to all customers, and that applicable resources are utilized to satisfy customer requirements.
    • Provides input along with other personnel in the Directorate and headquarters on the development of Performance Based Agreements by coordinating with the National Account Manager, Customer Account Managers and Customer Support Representatives.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Customer Support Liaison your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Serving as the customer focal point for all issues related to logistics, supply chain support, and life cycle management of assigned systems and programs. Working jointly with entities assigned to customer activities to develop material and logistics support requirements for assigned program workload, and integrate all required actions to develop overall logistics support plans. Coordinating areas of supply procedures, forecasting, requirements determination, documentation, acquisitioning, quality control, maintenance, item specifications, procurement data, transportation pipelines, manufacturing, fabrication, production, and life cycle support for customer programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
