    Major Duties

    • Staff advisor to the Deputy Director and Director, Agency Synchronization Operations Center (ASOC).
    • Directs the Service Support branch staff responsible for ASOC Directorate coordination, scheduling, executive coordination, training, budgeting and financial management, travel, and security.
    • Primary Task Management Tool (TMT) manager for staffing actions and responses.
    • Relieves the Director/Deputy Director of detailed planning related to wide variety of complex management and mission related projects, issues, and initiatives.
    • Approving and authorizing official for all ASOC personnel for travel, training, security, time and attendance, information technology acquisition and upgrades, and relevant ports of the directorate’s communication plan.
    • Leads and is responsible for all budget ASOC budget and financial actions, participating in planning complex, varied, and fluctuating financial objectives/programs with Directorate staff, J1, J3, J8, and J9.
    • Manages personnel access to ASOC classified spaces, in addition to serving as the ASOC facilities manager.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for an Executive Officer, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Exercises general management over an organization's assigned administrative and executive function. Approval and authorizing official for all ASOC personnel for travel, training, security, time & attendance, information technology acquisition and upgrades, and the directorate's communication plan. Leads and is responsible for an organization's budget and financial actions. Works with Director to foster workforce development and replenishment strategies to meet the organizational goals. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
