    Major Duties

    • Serves as an Accountable Property Manager (APM) providing program management and oversight for the DLA Distribution Enterprise Accountable Property (AP) program, which comprises 53% of the Agency's accountable record.
    • Provides technical advice, guidance, and assistance to CONUS and OCONUS distribution centers on processes and procedures for all assigned capital and non-capital accountable property.
    • Oversees the Accountable Property program for distribution field activities worldwide, establishes internal policies and procedures, and provides procedural guidance for the successful implementation and sustainment of program objectives.
    • Prepares instructions, training materials, and job aids for the effective execution and management of the Accountable Property program; complies and submits reports to higher Headquarters personnel.
    • Coordinates the creation of and monitors capital equipment projects for accountability and depreciation, as depreciation of capital projects significantly impacts financial records and Audit Readiness.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - GS-11: With assistance, prepares instructions, training material, and job aids for the effective execution and management of an accounts payable program and compiles and submits to higher levels of management. Aides in providing oversight and administration for job related aspects of an accounts payable management program. Provides support for the creation and monitoring of capital equipment projects for accountability and depreciation. - GS-12: Performing analytical and evaluative work in order to develop and execute phases of operating programs; Managing and controlling accountable property to include physical inventory, accountable adjustment documents, and accountable property type reports; and Preparing instructions, training materials, and job aids for executing accountable property reports and procedures. B. Education Substitution: Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
