Major Duties

• Serves as an IT Specialist responsible for Supporting the implementation, operation, and modernization of Information Lifecycle Governance (ILG) capabilities across DLA’s cloud and M365 environments.
• Supports compliance with the Department of War (DoW) Records Strategy by ensuring DLA information systems meet lifecycle, metadata, retention, interoperability, and digital preservation requirements.
• Implements the technical aspects of the DLA ILG program by configuring and supporting M365 information governance capabilities, metadata management, retention, and compliance requirements.
• Performs system analysis, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, migration support, and modernization planning to ensure enterprise information management capabilities.
• Serves as a senior IT Specialist responsible for supporting the implementation and operational maintenance of ILG capabilities within DLA’s enterprise information systems.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for an IT Specialist (DATAMGT/ENTARCH), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-13: - Implements and supports M365 information governance capabilities, including metadata management, retention, lifecycle management, and other governance features in accordance with established policy. - Develops technical guidance and supports implementation of Information Lifecycle Governance requirements across enterprise information systems. - Conducts compliance testing and validation of ILG features to ensure systems meet statutory and regulatory requirements and reports findings to the senior program manager. GS-12 (in a developmental capacity): - Implements and supports M365 information governance capabilities, including metadata management, retention, lifecycle management, and other governance features in accordance with established policy. - Develops technical guidance and supports implementation of Information Lifecycle Governance requirements across enterprise information systems. - Conducts compliance testing and validation of ILG features to ensure systems meet statutory and regulatory requirements and reports findings to the senior program manager.
