    Major Duties

    • Serves as Senior Technical Project Manager and manages projects that include elements of the Enterprise Infrastructure, Information Assurance, Information Technology Solutions and Technology Management areas.
    • Supports new or modified technology concepts and/or processes into the Enterprise Infrastructure.
    • Coordinates with managers and IT specialists on issues of IT policy, standards and precedents and with customer(s)
    • Conducts In-Process Reviews (IPRs) with customers and management as needed during the course of a project.
    • Coordinates with project sponsors/stakeholders/customers to reach agreement on project deliverables and delivery dates.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Identifies specific IT skill sets needed for successful execution of the project and negotiates to acquire resources possessing the needed skills. - Evaluates, monitors, or ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards for assigned infrastructure projects. - Develops project plans, cost benefits analyses, project budgets and other supporting Rroject documents. - Ensures appropriate product-related training and documentation is developed and made available to users affected b?? the infrastructure projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
