Major Duties

• Responsible for providing corporate information technology (IT) related acquisition program management, investment management, enterprise architecture, and logistics data services.
• Provides overall direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, systems integration, product improvement, and fielding of assigned DLA IT programs.
• Provides managerial guidance on behalf of the Director, J-6, and the Director and Vice Director, DLA for development of IT program policies, procedures and practices for DLA systems.
• Ensures that the Agency is responsible, accountable, and in compliance with overarching directives and guidance and provides program management oversight for enterprise architecture.
• Serves as a systems analyst and technical expert responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to the assigned program in matters relating to information management issues that involve Information Technology (IT) management.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for a IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Applies analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. - Develops and uses evaluation techniques to monitor performance of the system software. - Performs continuing analysis to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; consults with customers to identify and specify requirements; develops overall functional and systems requirements and specifications; conducts business process reengineering; conducts feasibility studies and trade-off analyses. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
